Deonne Brown Benedict has been a family nurse practitioner for 15 years, with experience in private practice, community clinics, and international work. She is the founder and owner of Charis Family Clinic in Edmonds, WA. Deonne has a doctorate in nursing practice and has been an ARNPs United legislative committee member since 2003. Since 2008 she has served on the board as the Public Relations Chair. Deonne teaches NP students full time at Seattle University. Her articles on starting a practice, marketing NPs,and clinical topics have been published in a variety of NP journals. She is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
